Lucky was one of our first N20 members! Lucky is a rescue dog and was picked up at 8 weeks old! From a young age Lucky showed that he loved to play with toys! It wasn't until he was 3 years old that he showed his true potential in the sport of disc dogs. One day we threw a frisbee and he caught it! From then on it's history! Lucky has attended several competitions and has taken home some great awards. Lucky has also competed in Dock dogs and Agility!
In 2010 Lucky tore his ACL. The ACL is the ligament in the knee the helps the femur and tibia move fluidly with the knee cap. Lucky had a TPLO surgery to repair the torn ligament and went through months of recovery and physical therapy. After healed Lucky made many more appearances in the Disc dog world, but agility was going to be too strenuous activity. 

In 2011 Lucky began to have complications associated with his TPLO repair. Luckily nothing was broken or ruptured, but he needed several months of recovery. 
During his recovery his mom Kara had to make a difficult decision. To retire him and keep him safe and healthy? Or train and compete and risk further injury. 
The decision was difficult, but after recovery Lucky was then retired. 
Currently Lucky still plays frisbee in the back yard, swims at the lake and is our regular couch potato! Although retired, lucky will occasionally attend a Dock Diving Competition or do a Frisbee Demo. 

Aside from his sport career lucky is also a registered Therapy Dog with Therapy Dogs International. He has a very loving temperament and loves all living beings! He's one great dog and we are thankful to have him!
